Jenna Bears Car show Phx, Az

Saturday morning is Awesome!

I can't believe I've missed so many beautiful Saturdays. Previously I worked every Saturday from 8:30 - 7:30 for four years (bummer).

Oh well, back to the topic; I'm currently at the Peoria Sports Complex for the second annual Jenna Bears Car show. The $25 entry fee goes to awareness to stop Red light running. Many young and old lives have been taken due to impatient drivers trying to pass the intersection and inadvertently running red lights.

You may be one of the complainers about the red light cameras being placed all over the valley. However, your attitude would change quickly if your only child, your new born, your son, your daughter, or your parents were killed because of a red light runner.

Honestly though, must you speed down the street just in time to catch the next red light?...

The cars here are amazing! I have many pictures to show so if you have another program running you may want to shut it down. 56k Beware :)

The crowd was lively, there were free snacks and drinks, the sun was out but there was a constant breeze. Just a beautiful day.

The only thing that did not sit well with me Saturday was the fact that the host said "rice burners" as he introduced the Import class during the trophy ceremony. I was very surprised because there was only one Honda in the show compared to the previous year. According to the pictures I recall viewing of the first annual car show; there were quite a few well built (TRUE) import cars.

The second thing that turned my stomach was when the Dodge stealth won third place in the IMPORT..... class

Since when is a Dodge and import?.... could have fooled someone else but I believe Dodges are American made. I guess you can't expect to much import love at a show such as this. Practically 98% of the cars entered were American made.

Oh well, the point/purpose of the car show was definitely felt and one could not have asked for a better day all around.

here you go;
